No one needs to teach to love

Posted on January 6, 2007 by Bishop Jos Tharakan

“For loving our brothers, there is no need for anyone to write to you about that, since you have learned from God yourselves to love one another” 1 Thess 4: 9

Loving is natural. It requires no training. Only a willingness to follow the deepest promptings of the Holy Spirit. How is it possible for one to love without a whole lot of training? Because we are created by the One who knows how to love and created in the image and likeness of the One who knows it.

This is but philosophy. Practically what should I do? Do nothing other than look at the other as you would look at yourself. Just be kind to others as you would be to yourself. Forgive others as you would yourself. And that takes care of it simply and plainly.
