Practice Modesty, Humility and Awareness!

Posted on August 8, 2010 by Bishop Jos Tharakan

To speak of God … is a practice to be approached modestly, humbly, and fully aware of the inadequacy of language to “set terms” to the One Who Exceeds All Terms. Found this in the writings of Scott Carinas. Then we are into fighting for establishing whose language is the best and what translation is the proper one. What will God understand? Which translation makes sense to God I wonder often only to find out that is the translation of our hearts. Now sometimes they lack grammar of course. But it does not matter though because it is about conversation which always happens in bits and pieces when it is with the real people. And God is real. Therefore let us approach God with modesty, humility and awareness of our inadequacy.

Be grateful to God for all the blessings in life.
