Walk God-ward!

Posted on June 10, 2021 by Bishop Jos Tharakan

To live spiritually, we seek to breathe with the Spirit’s rhythm and move in a God-ward direction on the long walk of faith. Fr. Hendry Nouwen.

We wake up in the morning and move towards something better than yesterday. If not, we have a problem. The problem for a lot of people is to live in the past and thus going backward. Life is to live forward, not backward. Life is to look towards something ahead than something behind.

It is only possible for us to live forward if we take in the life of the Spirit of God who has the knowledge of the future. When we breathe God into us, our rhythm changes and our direction takes a positive dimension. Our forward movement is propelled by our God-ward walking.. It is that which gives us a positive outlook of the world to realize that today is far better than yesterday and tomorrow will be even better. What matters is to be aware that everyday we are waking up into a new and better world God has made.
